RESERVATIONS

  • How much notice is required to cancel a reservation?

    Legends requests that our customers cancel the reservation in advance as follows:

    Airport:

    Two hours before your flight takes off for pickups from:

    • New York City (five boroughs)
    • LGA Airport
    • JFK Airport
    • EWR Airport
    • TEB Airport

    Three hours before your flight takes off for pickups from:

    • ISP Mac Arthur / Long Island
    • HPN White Plains / Westchester

    Local Reservations:

    For Brooklyn pickups, we request a minimum of a two before your reservation.

    For Manhattan pickups, we request a minimum of two hours before your reservation.

    For any other borough or out of state pickup please ask your customer service representative.

    Out of town pick-ups:

    We request the approximate duration of the trip from midtown Manhattan plus an additional hour for cancellation.

    Specialty Vehicles:

    For all specialty vehicles, cancellation times vary depending on the vehicle type. All Sprinter vans/Mercedes Benz S550 are subject to full charge unless cancelled 24 hours prior to reservation time.

    All Buses/ stretch limousines reservations are subject to full church unless cancelled 72 hours prior to reservation time. If you cancel after our time frame, you are subject to be charged the full amount of reservation.

    Events:

    The cancellation policy is 30 days prior to the date of the event. The deposit of 50% is required and will be charged on the day of signing this agreement. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the event date. All deposits are nonrefundable.

  • What happens if I don’t get a callback?

    The client is responsible for being in the vehicle at the time of pick-up, even if the client did not receive a call from Legends. Legends can’t be responsible for calls which are not going through, or when a client provides a telephone for callbacks that are not working, or that’s going to voice mail.

    Waiting time charges starts from the scheduled time of pick-up.

  • Can I call if I need a vehicle right away?

    Yes, you can. We will do our best to estimate the vehicle time of arrival but in order to avoid the wait, we strongly suggest making a reservation in advance at no additional charge.

  • How much time do I need prior to making a reservation?

    While we do book live calls, Legends recommends that you make a reservation twenty- four hours in advance to ensure availability. However, depending on the approximate distance from NYC, we are normally available to accommodate reservations for right away / booked a few hours prior.

  • Why do I have to fill out an Authorization Form?

    Legends Limousine requires all reservations exceeding $150 to be validated by the completion of the credit card authorization form.

    We ask you to return this form along with photocopies of the following:

    (1) Credit Card used for reservation (back & front)
    (2) Cardholder’s state issued photo ID

    For security purpose to reduce fraud, the credit card companies are requesting us to provide images of the cardholders ID and credit card, this is nonnegotiable.

TRAVEL

  • What if I have more than four passengers or more than four pieces of luggage?

    You can always request minivan or SUV. Our Minivans/ SUV can accommodate up to six passengers.
  • Do you charge more for extra luggage?

    There is no charge for luggage if they fit in the trunk of the requested vehicle. If the luggage exceeds capacity, we may have to upgrade the vehicle and charge the difference.

  • How many people and how much luggage can I fit into a sedan?

    Our standard sedans accommodate up to three passengers and up to three small-medium size luggage.

    Our Lincoln town cars accommodate up to three passengers and up to four small-medium size luggage.

    * Please be advised vehicles cannot go overcapacity. When requesting car seats, anything more than one car seat must be reserved in a larger vehicle. *

  • How long does it take to get through immigration and customs at JFK Airport or Newark airport?

    You can never know with certainty how long it takes to clear customs, as it may take minutes or upwards of an hour. Factors such as how many other international flights have arrived around the same time as yours, affect how quickly you’ll be able to clear customs.

  • Is there an additional cost for Meet and Greet service?

    Legends’s charge $15 more for this service, in addition to the parking fee.

  • Does legends provide free waiting time for pickups?

    For Airports yes.

    • 30 minutes free waiting time for domestic flights.
    • 45 minutes free waiting time for international flights.

    *Starting from the time of arrival*

    For all other pickups you receive a 9-minute grace period. After that you will be charged waiting time depending on your vehicle type.

  • I made a reservation to be picked up at the airport, what should I do once I land?

    If you request an inside pick-up, (Meet and Greet), please look for your driver at the baggage claim for domestic flights or at the custom exit for international flights. He will be holding a Legends sign with your name on it. If you cannot locate your driver, please call us at (888) 534-3637, so we can connect you with your driver.

    If you request an outside pick-up, please call us after you collected your luggage, and a Legends dispatcher will direct you to go outside to meet your driver.

  • How much time should I allow for traveling to the airport?

    The traffic flow between Manhattan to the airports is unpredictable. Please consult your airline and use your best judgment when booking your reservation. Add extra time for bad weather, rush hours, and during holidays.

    Average travel time to the New York City Area Airports in normal circumstances:

Payments and Tolls

  • How is my credit card charged?

    Pre-Authorization Holds

    When making a reservation with a credit card, your card number will be taken at the time of the reservation for authorization purposes only. The authorization amount we hold will be up to 40% more than the actual fare to cover for any additional stops, waiting time, tolls, gratuity, etc.

    *Holds are NOT a charge but may show on your card statement. The amount on hold will drop from your statement within 3 to 5 business days from reservation*

    You will be charged a 5% processing fee on the total of your reservation for all credit card transactions.

  • What are your procedures on waiting time and how much is the waiting time charge?

    Waiting time charges may be incurred if passengers arrive late to their pick-up time. A Nine-minute courtesy is given on all reservations except for airport pickups. For transfers from the airport.

    • 30-minute free waiting time for domestic flights.
    • 45 minutes free waiting time for international flights.

    Waiting time charges are based on the hourly rate or that particular vehicle. Waiting time charges also apply on all additional stops after complimentary 5 minutes expire.

  • How do I get a receipt if I pay cash?

    You could always ask your driver for a cash receipt. If you forget, please call us at (718) 788.1234 to request a copy of your receipt and provide us with your name, telephone number, date of the trip, pick-up location/destination along with your total amount.

  • What form of payments do you accept?

    We accept cash and all major credit cards such as: Master Card, Visa, American Express, and Discover card.

    *Please note we do not accept personal checks or diner’s club card. *

  • Can I pay for someone else using my credit card?

    Yes, you can, using one of the following options:

    • The best and most convenient way to prepay for a reservation is to use our website online at www.LegendsLimousine.com, click on ‘MAKE AN ONLINE RESERVATION’ and when you get to the form of payment, click on ‘I WOULD LIKE TO PAY FOR THE TRIP NOW’.
    • If you do not have access to the internet, please call us at (718) 788.1234 and ask for our prepaid fax form. Fill it out, sign it and please fax it back to (718) 422.0220.*Please note we may request a copy of the front and back of your credit card along with the matching picture id.*

  • Who is responsible for tolls and how much are they?

    The customer is always responsible for paying the tolls. Tolls may vary depending on the route the driver takes. The driver reserves the right to take the best route due to traffic or weather conditions.

  • How much should I tip?

    Gratuities are at the discretion of the passenger and can range between 15-20%.

  • What is a Congestion Fee?

    As of Saturday, February 2, 2019, New York State imposed a congestion surcharge. The congestion fee applies to transportation in vehicles that carry people for-hire, including:

    • vehicles commonly known as taxis,
    • vehicles commonly known as “green cabs,”
    • limousines,
    • black cars,
    • livery vehicles (including vehicles commonly known as community cars),
    • rideshare/transportation network company vehicles, and
    • pool vehicles.

    The surcharge is $2.75 for each for-hire transportation trip in a vehicle that is not a medallion taxicab or a pool vehicle.

Corporate Accounts

  • Is it safe to give my credit card details online?

    All transactions with Legends Limousine take place on a secure server using SSL encryption technology to ensure your personal and payment details are protected. To verify that you are shopping in a secure environment, a padlock will appear in your browser. It is normally in the status bar, towards the right-hand side, at the bottom of your browser window.

  • Can I build a profile for future usage?

    Yes, you can build your own profile by creating a username and a password for you to log in every time you need to book a reservation online. After you book your first order our system will let you manage your reservations, preferences, save addresses and contact information, allowing you to simplify your reservation process, it also allows you to modify and cancel your reservation online.

  • Can I use my account to reserve on the web site?

    We encourage you to book your reservations on our web site. If you have a personal or corporate account with us, please contact our office to get a password for your account. You can use your account for any trip, anywhere, to modify or cancel your reservations. You will always receive a copy of your order and a confirmation number when you provide us with your e-mail address.

  • How do I open an account?

Special Needs

  • What is your policy on pets?

    Legends gladly accommodates travelers with pets but please keep the following in mind:

    • Must notify the operator when you make the reservation so we can accommodate you. If you fail to do so, the driver has the right to refuse transporting the pet.
    • All pets must be leashed or in a special carrier when traveling in a car.
    • All pets over twenty-five pounds must ride in a mini-van or a van, with the exception of service dogs.

    *Please be advised that there will be a cleaning fee if there are any pet accidents or excess hair. *

  • Do you provide wheelchair accessible vehicles?

    Yes, we do. Please call-in advance to make a reservation.

  • Does Legends provide car seats?

    Yes, we do. Each car seat is an additional $15. Legends uses the Even Flo Tribute convertible car seat. It can be installed either rear facing for infants, or forward facing for toddlers upon request.

    We also provide backless booster seats.

    *Please note: Our drivers will gladly assist you in installing the car seats, but please be advised it is your responsibility to make sure they are properly installed. There will be an additional cleaning charge for any spills, stains, etc. to our car seat*

Miscellaneous

  • Does Legends allow smoking in the vehicles?

    No, smoking is prohibited for the driver and the passengers by the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission. All vehicles must be always clean and smoke-free. Your chauffeur will be subject to a summons and fine if he lets you smoke in the vehicle.

  • Do you provide larger vans other than seven passenger vans?

    Yes, Legends can provide you with a Mercedes Sprinter van that could accommodate up to thirteen passengers without luggage.
  • Must I wear a seat belt in Legends’s vehicles?

    Yes. New York State now requires all passengers to buckle up regardless of where they sit in the vehicle – including drivers and all passengers. If your passengers do not wear a seat belt, your vehicle can be pulled over and your adult passengers may receive a ticket. If you are transporting a passenger under the age of 16, and they are not accompanied by a parent or guardian and do not buckle their seatbelt, you (the driver) could receive a ticket.

  • Can the driver go inside the building to bring the luggage out to the car?

    Unfortunately, drivers cannot leave their vehicles unattended, but they will be pleased to assist you with your luggage from the sidewalk to the vehicle.

  • Does Legends Car Service call when my car is on location?

    In most cases you will receive a phone call from us when you driver arrives. Occasionally we are unable to call all passengers due to heavy call volume.

    *Please note that you are responsible for waiting time charge from reservation time and not from the time we call. Nine minutes free waiting time is given on all reservations as a courtesy. *

  • What do I do if I left something in the car?

    If a user has left a personal item in one of our vehicles and wish to retrieve it, you can report it to our Lost & Found department at 888.207.1493. We will have the driver inspect the vehicle. However, Legends Limousine does not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any personal property. Baggage and all other personal property will be processed only at passengers’ own risk. Passengers’ baggage shall be carried subject to the available accommodations (as determined solely by the service provider) provided by interior and/or exterior racks.

    If the item is found you may pick it up at our location at 209 25th street, Brooklyn NY 11220. You also have the option of having the item shipped to you via FedEx or driven to you.

    Legends Limousine reserves the right to levy a delivery fee for returning found property, charged at full travel rates.
